The first rule of Norco Rocks is to have FUN!!!
Norco Rocks is a registered Kindness Rocks project which was created to spread inspiration and a moment of kindness for unsuspecting recipients through random inspirational rocks dropped along the way. The concept is simple! If you want to play keep reading!

There is no membership or amount of participation required.

To start, let me just say, you can be a hider or a seeker or both.

If you want to be a hider than get some rocks, paint them and hide them!
You can keep it simple as just getting rocks from your yard, painting them and hiding them.

If you WANT you could put #NorcoRocks, NorcoRocks.com or something to direct the finder to our Facebook group.

Our Facebook group is very interactive and how the group has grown so much. Please join !

Now if you want to get serious, you can buy nice flat rocks. Paint them or write something inspirational or kind on it and add #NorcoRocks or something to direct them to our website or Facebook group on the bottom. As an example, you can make the Facebook "f" logo and then write #NorcoRocks or NorcoRocks.com.  Then you can post a picture of your rock and the area in which you are hiding it in the group so the seekers can go find it!

If you want to just be a seeker that is perfectly fine! If you happen to find a rock that says NORCO ROCKS than please feel free to post a picture of the rock with where you found it!

The rocks you find are YOURS to do as you please! Keep them or rehide them! It is up to you!

Please remember that this is a FUN activity designed to bring families and community together.

If you would like to do a giveaway or sponsorship for the group please message me.

Here are some general rules for hiding rocks.
1. Always be mindful of the environment and respectful of the community guidelines that already exist.
2.Do not add/attach anything to the rocks, as there is no guarantee that it will stay on and not become liter or swallowing hazards for children or wildlife.
3. This is a gifting project. Many Facebook groups remind their members that this is about gifting and not always expecting to find a rock or get recognition when yours is found.
4. Do not hide rocks in national parks or state parks, on private property. Do not ever hide a rock inside of a business or store or a home. If you ask permission it is ok to hide a rock OUTSIDE on private property.
5. Pinterest and Facebook are great places to find inspiration for colorful creations and creative messages.
6. Young children should always be supervised when seeking rocks.
7. This is FAMILY friendly activity so please keep that in mind when creating rocks.
8. DO NOT EVER OFFER MONEY OR PRIZE INCENTIVES FOR FINDING ROCKS
9. Please use common sense and be safe when out hunting for rocks.

What to use?

Here are some of the supplies that you can use to get started.

Rocks-

-- ALL AROUND ROCK SUPPLY ON 6TH St. SELLS ROCKS BY THE POUND!! SHOP LOCAL!!!

--You can go find some outside ( do not take rocks from private property).

--Lowes- Home Depot sell a variety of rocks. You can get a bag for around $12 that contains 100 or more rocks. Keep in mind that thus bag of rocks weighs A LOT!

-- Michael's, Joann and Hobby Lobby sell small bags of rocks that vary in cost from $3-$8

-- Dollar Tree has 2 lb. bags of rocks. These rocks tend to have a shiny coat that makes them difficult to work with.

Decorating your rocks-

- Acrylic Craft paint available at Michael's, Joann, Hobby Lobby etc. Prices start at .87. Check for value sets that have a bunch of paints in them because often you get a better value.

- Paint Pens available at Michael's, Joann, Hobby Lobby etc. Look for these in a value set as well. Also look for fine tip. You will want a good black and white fine tip paint pen.

- Sealer - You can use a variety of sealers on your rocks. People have used paint on variety, modge podge but my favorite is just clear coat acrylic spray paint.
